Jinja Safari’s music is full of percussion and African pop influences. The two band members, Marcus Azon (originally from Tasmania) and Cameron ‘Pepa’ Knight, met at a bonfire party on the Central Coast of New South Wales. They recorded their first album over the course of 4 weekends in a beachside studio.
Their music’s Kind of Vampire Weekend, Where the Wild Things Are hipster-esque, but it’s nice to listen to anyway.
